FAQ
Do I need to change my software?
No. We work with QuickBooks Online, Wave, and Xero. If you are not using software yet, we recommend the right option for your setup and handle the onboarding. Many small businesses do well with Wave or QuickBooks Online.
What if my books are behind?
No problem. We handle catch-up bookkeeping regularly, whether you are behind by months or years. We assess the backlog, quote a one-time cleanup fee, and then move you to an ongoing monthly plan with pricing confirmed before work starts.
How do I share documents?
You can upload statements, receipts, and invoices through your secure client portal, or connect a read-only bank feed. No credential sharing is required. Most clients prefer bank feed because it reduces monthly admin.
What do I get each month?
By the 10th of each month, you receive reconciled books, a profit and loss statement, a balance sheet, and a short plain-language summary of the month. We also flag unusual items or anything needing clarification.
Is this the same as tax filing?
No. Bookkeeping and tax filing are separate services that work together. Bookkeeping keeps records clean year-round. Tax filing is the annual CRA submission based on those records. Using both makes year-end filing faster and smoother.
